Etec question.

I started then engine up today for the first time in 5 months and it fired up on the first turn of the key, I let it run on muffs for a good 15 minutes and the flow of water coming out of the tell tale was nice and strong and the engine sounded good but the water coming out was cold and never got warm is this normal or should it have warmed up after running for that length of time ? Thanks K.

No I did it again about an hour later still the same, even felt round the leg of the engine and that was still cold. The weather has been nice and warm today as well so can't blame the cold.

So I take then Mollers that if the stat was stuck it wouldn't be owt to worry about and it would sort itself out on a run out on the water.

Nah, It would overheat on the water if it stayed shut. You'd need a new stat 'n gasket mate.

Mine used to take good few mins of running before it warmed up. Especially when only idling...

Nor mine; all sounds normal to me. If the engine overheated an alarm would go off. I run my jet ski every Sunday morning on my driveway just to annoy my neighbours. I think you're missing out there.
