TBH, I only found Opti racket an issue at low speeds. Wind 'em up and they're no nosier than most other O/Bs and the wind noise takes over.

Matt, received DVDs this am. Superb. Many thanks to yourself and all contributors. Scillies next year?

I've got a nice high console so wind noise is pretty much nil. Certain rpm's are louder than others but I find it's when both engines are in sync they really seem to howl

My pleasure Sorry it took so long to get to the PO, not easy at its at least 400 yds away

I'm all over the Scillies idea, I'm booking a week off at the end of june for this, last few years have been good, settled weather around this time

Yes I noticed on the 'Bumpy Ride' video you posted a couple of weeks back that the soundtrack was, erm, slightly dominated by one feature sounded good though

I always really liked the noise of the old V4 2 stroke on my Humber and am looking forwards to the song of a V6 bellowing its carbon footprint

you will be dissapointed then the E-tec at speed is more a muted howl.

At idle a tantalising throb.

At rest a beautiful.....

Errrrrrmm I need to go

There is on mine however, a rather unpleasant, resonating drone that occurs around 2000rpm.

Between 1700 and 2000 RPM is when the engines switch modes between stratified fuel delivery to homogenous hence the slight lumpiness you can get sometimes between those RPMs.

Unless you were about to add a punchline

Relax, he said they were Geniuses. They'll be orbiting Uranus in no time.
