It's not aircooled BTW, you should see a fine spray out of the exhaust holes while it's running. They don't have a telltale.
They ARE however a complete piece of piss to work on once you've got an exploded diagram-I redid one of them myself about 6 months ago. I sold it because I realised I could trim the bracket on the same age 4hp so it fitted on the transom.
