cav. plate on the pad level (bottom of the hull).

Say this to boatyard and they will decide with you about 1 or 2 holes.

Ok engine dropped this morning. Had a chat to mechanic and he said go one hole, he thought two might be a bit too much.

Will get it in the water this evening for a run and see if it has made a difference.

Had a run out this afternoon through the harbour and out past Sydney heads (Tasman sea) some big swells and plenty of chop and I must say it’s a noticeable difference. Still a little bit of cav every now and then but where I was trimming before has significantly less. Drifts over nearly everything now with ease and bow lift is much improved.

Thanks for all of the helpful advice, as always a great amount of knowledge here.

Engine height dilemma

Exactly same issues with a df250. Dropped an inch below hull and same results as you. Odd bit of Cavitation but nothing a quick throttle back doesn't sort. Must be a Suzuki thing !

Can you make now picture of the boat on the trailer with engine lower to the point when cav. plate be parallel to surface ?

Sorry that you couldn't do it by yourself and had to paid.
