Engine Cowl Repair on South Coast

Hi, Just wanted to share some experiences with a Body Shop on the south coast, AutoBrite who specialises in smart repairs.

I have recently bought a new RIB and the engine cosmetically left a lot to be desired as had various cracks on the cowlings.

I enquired about the costs of replacing these parts from Suzuki and once I got off the floor after being quoted in excess of £2000 I started looking at a way of repairing them.

I got a colour match from a paint shop near Swanwick and dropped the stuff off to be repaired... I can only describe the work as faultless, Autobrite did an amazing job and I feel like I have a new engine, even being able to repair the plastic lower cowl that was badly damaged as well as the big crack in the top of the engine cowl. The then also had the middle section resprayed and it now looks like brand new... Great experience and cost me a fraction of the new costs... very happy!!

Then

and now!

Hi, worth dropping him a message through Facebook with pictures for prices as know each job is quite different.

I got the decals from the states, again far cheaper than direct from suzuki and liked the dark colour although wish I had gone grey and silver rather than just grey but like the new look all the same!

I don't im afraid, they had lots of colour chips and we just held them against an original plastic lower cowl piece and got the closest match, it is not quite the same as original but as I was replacing all cowls it didn't matter as long as they all were the same.
