The biggest cause of this is poor set up, its called "sneezing" when the engine coughs back at tick over, usually caused by the carbs being out of sync. We fit brass connectors to the MOD engines to stop the fittings from melting if it happens.

suffice to say its now fixed and ran perfect out at sea the other day. thanks for the help.
