If it's a bunk trailer, spray silicone on the carpet while the boat is in the water. Should make it easier to winch up.

Be careful about the boat falling off next time you launch, though (i.e. leave the winch strap engaged until the transom is over water deep enough to float in.)

Hi. L4RRY.
I have a 4 Metre Avon Searider fitted with a 50hp 4 cylinder Mercury Brown band from around 1985. and I have just fitted it with Power T/T . I bought the t/t unit from ebay for 82, it came from a 70hp 3 cylinder engine from around 1993. It was not a straight swop, there was a bit of modification to do which included some Aluminum welding. but the job is a goodun now its done. I also fitted it with electric start a couple of years back. All told the t/t conversion cost roughly 200.
