e-tec fault reset

I have a 175 e-tec and it seems to be remembering a fault code – anyone know if this is possible and how to reset this?

When I turn the key to the first position, I get the error OVR TMP on the display for a few seconds and then this goes off – it can’t be over temperature though as the engine isn’t even running? It didn’t always do this, I was out once and had the flushing adaptor left in the outlet and this caused the OVR TMP alarm, removed the adaptor and now its all OK – but this message still shows when the key is turned.

Hi Steve,

if you contact Mark Compton (Driftwood Engineering) on 07879 475252 and tell him I suggested you call, I'm sure he can tell you what needs to be done.

Regards

Steve

Looks like DryRun beat me to it! Yeah, give Mark Compton a call and he will be able to help you if he can. Mark services all our engines and rigs our new boats with E-TECs so he definitely knows his stuff.
