No new news as yet, I'm currently stuck at work at the moment and won't be back in the uk for another 10 days or so. I popped into outboard services before I left and they didn't want to speculate too much as to what may have happened before they had examined the engine which is fair enough.
I will give them a call in the next couple of days and get it booked in ASAP when I am home
The chap who has had a new E-tec had his motor rebuilt under warranty. (I think it had a broken conrod). He picked up the engine and when he started it he said it sounded terrible. He spoke to the dealer again who said to run it and see if it improved and the first time out it failed again big time. As far as I know it was nearly 6 months between him having the 1st problems and getting a new motor which he had to pay £1500 towards as by that time the motor was out of warranty and BRP wanted £500 per year for the use he had had out of it.
Just to clarify this was not Outboard Services!!
