Does anyone know?.......

....where I can source a replacement starter motor for a 1992 Suzuki DT85 at a better price than the remarkeably insane £750 that Suzuki want!!!

I'm open to suggestions on new, used, rebuilds, whatever.....but spending £750 on an 18 year old motor seems mad......but a replacement engine is even worse and I don't have the budget.

can anyone help before my 2010 season ends before it has even started

Orve.

Whats the problem with the old one? Can it not be refurbished/re wound ?? There are specialists around that can work wonders !!! I'll try and remember who in our area has that capability

I'd be interested in buying your Soozook, if you end up getting a replacement outboard.

why not look up the part numbers for other makes of starter motor and see what
else they fit.
Do a bit of cross reference etc.
plus many of the ouboard starters are from motorbikes as well.

Ive also noticed the stupid prices of starter motors recently.
More for a starter than for a decent engione in some cases.

re-build it if the worse thing happens.

or get a bag of steroids and good strong bit of rope ha ha
