Do not bid on this item!!!!

Word of warning. We sold this to a chap called Mark last week at a massively knocked down price, due to the fact it had sank on its mooring. Obviously being fair we disclosed this to him and it was sold as spares/repairs.

It was delivered yesterday. Suddenly he's now "selling it for a mate" and has had it months. The new listing does not disclose that it had sunk less then a month ago. I've no problem with his sales patter but equally wouldn't want you guys getting caught in the middle

Be warned If your bidding, base it on the added info. I have no problem whatsoever with him selling it on for more. That's great if he can. I just don't think it's fair for some poor mug to pay top dollar without being in the know!!!!

That's interesting - the second one today. That being ebay accounts which have gone from selling women's clothes/makeup to marine gear.

Are these purchased accounts or hacked? It looks to me like someone needs a good rating and acquires an account.

No he has emailed me explaining that he felt it best to give the "ropey" description incase he didn't get his moment back from it and he feels as appears to be running as it should there isn't any problem or need to tell the potential buyer, along with explaining he put I on his wife's account to dodge the taxman, not any comebacks from eBay or buyers.

Obviously he always planned on doing that to maximise his returns. Up to him. would be interesting how he answers questions or offers on it though

i asked him

Hi there,
Apparently it was submerged for a very very short time but was taken apart and rebuilt by proper Mariner/Mercury engineers, so it should not have any problems whatsoever if the information given by the previous owner is true.

At least he's starting to advise it was submerged.

Yes it was rebuilt by the dealership we took it from but we still sold it as spares/repairs to him as we couldn't justify selling it for face value when we knew it had submerged, even if it was for just a few hours. Rebuilding it won't guarantee no future related faults. The thinking was if he wanted to run with it knowing it was submerged that's his CHOICE. It may well go without any faults in the future. At least he knew. His sale is entirely different though.

No he's reading this!!!

Like you say ended now so must be sold.

He did ask me (or threaten in fact) to withdraw my statement about tax dodging. So i will - I take that back. He didn't email me saying he avoids tax... He's fully compliant with UK tax

Case closed!

In that case, there's presumably another reason why it was being sold via his wife's ebay account?
