I am avoiding stainless specifically because we do get into the rocks from time to time, and I'd rather bend a prop and limp home than break the engine and end up washed up against a cliff.

I'll have to look into semi-cleaver props. I think one of our old Hondas had those as standard. Thanks for the idea.

I was just reading through the Suzuki 150 challenges thread. I'm definitely coming at this from the opposite end from a lot of the boat users. One of our most critical operating conditions is tiller all the way over, boat almost stopped in the water, accelerate hard while turning, inside the surf line in frothy water without a lot of extra time to get going before something bad happens. How our boat is set up may be completely wrong for how 99% of people use their boats.
