DISCONNECT the main engine wiring HARNESS and spray some FAMOUS WD40 on there and refit the plug . You have a bad earth contact problem I think .

HI Mike had simslar problem but it was the negative lead it was 60% corroded in the duckting therefore giving enough juice to the engine so it maybe the same for you but with positive.
Hope you find the culprit.
