Connecting Steering Cable

Before i connect the steering cable just want to make sure i have got it right.

The instructions say rotate the steering wheel 90 degrees to starboard before connecting cable, this is if the helm is positioned so cable exits from the starboard as recommended in instructions ?

As i have set up helm so cable exits directly below will this alter the steering wheel position when connecting or just keep it at 90 degrees?

Hope this makes sense?

Cheers.

Sorry,

Just had a look at instructions again and realised my angle was wrong so have put a picture instead.

Thanks

Not sure what you are asking? Just fit it and if it's wrong then rotate to suit?

The instructions would suggest you need to start with the wheel facing in the desired final position, if your cable exits vertically downwards.
In practice, this may not turn out how you planned.

Managed to do it eventually but took about 5 attempts by trial and error to get the wheel to centre. When the steering wheel is centred the engine looks slightly off but will have to live with it i suppose?

Thanks for the replies.

You should be able to correct that on the thread on the link bar.
