Bravo 3 leg or Bravo 1 leg ( that is the question)

Have been looking at a lot of your comments on the Bravo 3 leg and have talked to a few of you by phone. After visting the southampton boat show and talking to dealers you would believe there is no problem ?? Wrong!it seems the chaps using the yanmar300/Bravo 3 legs are getting a bit fed up sending leg after leg back. I suppose you have been told the new X leg will be better, I have heard one fitted to a boat down south has already bust ??????. So after taking all into consideration I have decided to give the Yanmar300/ Bravo 1 leg ago ( wish me luck) Will keep all you Bravo 3 chaps informed. Good luck

Brave man!

I hope you get on OK -- let us know either way. What RIB are you having, and what will you be using it for?

I have the "X" leg fitted on my boat and so far I've not seen any problems.

When I was at the boat show I also spoke to dealers who unless you told them there was a problem they wouldn't admit it.

I believe that there is another sterndrive leg about to come or is on the market that can take over 400hp which would suite the 300 and 400hp Yanmar’s. I have no other details regarding maker or cost.

Thanks mark for your reply just a few questions.

1. what type of boat to you have the x leg fitted to ( I suspect it might be a Scorpion)

2. How many hours have you clocked since installation of the x leg.

3. what is the main use of your boat.

Yet again Mark thanks for taking the time to reply and I look forward to receiving your answers to the above

I am about to select a Yanmar 300 with Bravo 3 leg fitted into a Scorpion.
Is the "X" leg really THE answer?
Does anyone have this combination and are you happy/unhappy with it?
