The almost identical car engines and magazine reports.

I can only beleive what the magazines say but they sure are brilliant car engines.

Now ive dug myself into a deep enough hole time to log out for the night...

I think Mike Garside put a Bravo 2 on Mag Alpha when he re-engined with a Yanmar 300. I know that Brian changed from B3x to B1 after two B3x failures. Might be worth pm'ing Brian for his advice.

I would give Joe Poulter at Barrus a ring.
An 11m boat with one Yanmar is not too likely to exceed 40 knots and therefore I believe one Bravo 2 with a large diameter (not pitch) prop, may be the answer. If two Yanmars are employed then 40knots is quite likely to be reached in which case I suspect that Bravo Ones could be the answer.
But why not ask a professional?
