Biggest outboards with tiller control?

Does anyone know what new outboards are available with tiller control?

Suzuki list everything over 25hp as being remote unless they mean it as an option?

I know Merc have their Big Tiller for larger O/B's but I would've thought most manufacturers would go up to 50-60hp with tiller control for the larger sibs and other open boats?

Can anyone enlighten me?

I seem to remember our old Honda 50 had a tiller option shown in the workshop manual. Whether that was available in Europe is another matter. Their current web info shows a 40 with tiller control BF40LHU.

Our old Suzuki DF50 definitely had a tiller option (2007 model). I think that the etec commercial models can be tiller controlled, I think that model is only 60hp and 90 but I may be wrong. The only tiller set up for really large outboards would be the Mercury racing big tiller http://www.mercurymarine.com/_media/.../BigTiller.pdf

Tohatsu still has 2T up tp 90 HP for tiller/remote control use, not available in markets where 2T are already forbidden. Tohatsu 4T 30HP is a tiller/remote model and the largest one on their 4T models.

Happy Boating

The 65hp ETEC commercial is tiller steer as standard

http://www.evinrude.com/en-US/Engine...AL/ETEC_65_COM

doesn't look like an option on the 90 comm though.

I am not sure the Etec is available here?

The largest I know of are 50s, but if you are happy with something second hand and a few years old you should be able to track down a 60 or maybe bigger.

An aux for Martiniii??

I reckon he could lose his arm trying to pull out of a tight turn if the trim isn't spot on. It's hard enough with hydraulic steering sometimes. And anyway, where's the fun without a pull start on that thing.
