the bulb wont be hard when the motor is running as fuel is being sucked through it from tank to engine by the engine fuel pump. we do see some of the fuel valves in the primers falling apart and blocking the flow, yours would have to be the out-side of the prime but sounds unlikely. can you take the fuel pipe off the engine and pump it into a spare tank / bucket? you should be able to pump without much resistance, the primer should pop back to shape within a couple of seconds of squeezing.if you have good flow it could be engine end week fuel pump?

Tempo Bulbs are a well known problem. I was told by BRP to ensure that I did not have one fitted when I had problems with my last E-tec.

we made the mistake of selling cheep bulbs/lines as you say fell appart within weeks not worth it.

Have you had problems with the Tempo connectors as well?

There were a couple of Tempo tanks in my boat when I got it and they are an absolute swine to get the (also Tempo) connectors onto.
