Battery and cables

Can someone tell me the miniumum size of battery I will need for a Suzuki 225 4-stroke. Also, what size battery cables will be required?

This month's RIB International has a good article on batteries.

I have given my copy away, but I think it said >225hp should be using a 130aH battery.

I'm just about to upgrade my 140 to a 225 (next week hopefully) but just wanted to check everything will be in order when it comes to firing the new engine up. I currently have two large batteries installed on board so am hoping they will do the job. Someone I spoke to though put the fear into me by saying my battery cables might not be up to the job. I would have thought that given the boat has a twin battery setup and was built with a large engine in mind they would have used suitably large enough cables.

Some where on the battery cables it will say what size in mm2 it is, I guess that if it's 40mm2 or over you'll be OK.
