Awesome engine, i took out a shearwater 760 with a 275 on it, virtually silent on tickover and very quiet up too WOT with 60 knots indicated.. Loved it!

I run a 300 verado on the back of my stingher, fantastic engine! The rig isn't probably the most economical package and in no way do I mean to sound flippant but I didn't buy it to worry about the odd litre of fuel, performance is great ,just a gentle nudge on the fly-by- wire throttle and instant pick-up. She's done about 270 hours and had no issues, serviced as per book. Pretty much silent on tick-over and growls on full chat , only reason I'd ever change from the current rig was to upgrade to a boat with twin 300 verado's!!

I seem to recall you driving mine between Weymouth and Poole as well!

Hi, my 250 is brilliant, done 400 hours without a problem. As others have said, very quiet, great power delivery but only average economy. Still, we don't buy Ribs to save money! Fly by wire makes it very easy to helm, Love it

Owned a first gen 275 and now a 300. For a big end outboard I would not have anything but a Mercury. For all the reasons quoted above. Plus, they actually tilt fully out the water which saves the leg fouling up. They give good performance, run quiet yet sound lovely at full chat, good controls and most importantly . . they look the best in my view!

Definitely +1 from me. I look after a pair of 300s on a commercially used cat. 1000hrs in 2 years and no failures at all. Usual servicing and nothing else. Recommend them for sure.

We have 2x 250 verado's with silly hours and would not have anything else.
