age of this yam?

Anyone have an idea on the age of this 40 yam..it's got elec start at least.

Possibly on the back of a small orange and grey project....

That's what I'm thinking..standard view from Matt 'BUY IT'.

The 'hp' number is after market, but if the side decal is original then its older than the 80's.

Looking at mid 70's, its really difficult with engines from this period because the hoods get swapped round so often.

Bill Higham is selling this age 28hp engines for £7-800, I know he is way over priced but it gives you an idea.
