I may have to talk to my banker about the first one and she doesn't finish work until later

The Suzie is tempting though

Unfortunately the Suzuki is about 38kg which is probably a bit too heavy for what I need

I'll keep looking ......

Where did 38kg come from... that sounds like the 10/15hp weight. The 8hp should be nearer 27kg surely (ie same as Tohatsu 9.8).

RIBase
That 8hp Yamaha looks like a beauty.

Should be pretty light as well - same base engine as the 6 I believe.

I'll be looking for one of those next season once the boys have learnt on a 4!

That is what I expected as well, but I asked the owner. Maybe it is the 'oil injection' thing?

Correction: The owner said he thought it was 34-35kg.

If you would be interested at the right weight worth getting an accurate answer. If he has the handbook as it shows in the listing he can look it up for a definite figure.... or he could put it on the bathroom scales.

I've found two other listings for this model for sale in the USA where they say 59 or 60 lbs.... which is about the 27kgs mark I'd have guessed.

Apparently the doc says 32.5 which would put it on the heavy side

Sadly yes it is a bit for an 8. My 15 weights 34kg and that's a little over a comfortable figure to lug about but at least you have the power as a bonus.

I find myself looking around for something that might way 32 kg, just to see if it is workable, but not knowing how far it might be from the car to the launch point, or what the sea state might be, is making me hesitate a little

No seriously... it's too heavy now you know the weight for sure. There is no point lugging about a weight more suited to almost double that power.
