Pilgrim sadly I'm not really in the position to get away for sibbing in other areas (live in west Cambridgeshire). We struggle to get out as much as we'd like. Our two weeks summer holiday packs in more days on the water than the whole of the rest of the year... and then the snatched weekend opportunities are very much a family thing with Mrs Fenlander and one/other/both daughters.

So my passing on of experience/advice is largely forum based.

As Jeff says there are meet ups through the year... often more towards the north... so you should be well placed to get in on one.

Well that's a nice sounding gesture... but I very much like to keep my feet firmly on... err... water. What sort of flying do you do?

I'm a subcontract Captain for a major uk airline.
I'm prob going to retire next year, no more fun, too automated.
But I have my own plane, a Seneca twin engined turbo, 6 seater.
I have other businesses, but want to spend time relaxing, boating, fishing, diving

Ahh OK... makes sibbing seem quite tame!

Re engine pics in many ways being the 2cyl twin with a single carb makes it nice and easy to maintain. As I've said I'm not familiar with that exact model Suzuki but servicing requirements are pretty generic for OBs of that era and size range.
