No, Terry's kosher; I'm sure he'd 'fess up if he hit anything.

Hey there.. I'm in the exact situation as you at the mo.. Getting a 5.8 and I e decided to stay with the 4stroke.. Less mess better resale too I reckon ... I was given the choice of a 100 Suzuki or the new df90 Suzuki and I've gone with the 90.. 40kgs or so lighter.. Better economy.. It revs higher than the 100, so Suzuki have said we should get the same top speed.. And a new arodynamic gear box too gives less resistance in the water.. All in all it sounds good but I'll let you know when I get it! :-) ...

Yeah very true!! Mind you.. The new df90 is retailing at a couple hundred more than the 100 at the moment.. Strange!! But I guess it's because it's brand new off the production line and is packed with plenty of extras that aren't on the 100.. Even though it's more expnsive though it's not costing me anything extra in my package price .. Happy days!! :-)

New technology, new problems perhaps?

Old yams are like goldust. New iPhones are always crap for 6 months. Direct injection two strokes were unreliable to start with. I'd never buy a first model anything until a load of other punters parted with their cash and tested it first.

Haggle for money off the outgoing tried and tested models is my theory if you intend to keep it.

Though i know there are other theories.

or they'll be happy to discount the old style stuff with old style problems for anyone willing to buy it whilst delivering the new product to customers with more refined taste and slightly deeper pockets?

knew that was coming!

Obviously don't buy an existing established model if it's crap! I know nothing of the old/new suz, just a theory. Bit like the outgoing diesels on Willks redbays??? Get em while you can perhaps?

Now that is something I agree with - especially if it's got a green oval on it
