60hp yamaha

hi, i have a 60hp yam and i have been trying to identify the year of manufacture, i have searched and found it very confusing so far i have it at three different years, so if anyone could help me pinpoint the exact year i would be very gratful, serial no is 60feo 6h2-l-402784 thanks ste

What letter is etched into the corner of the serial plate. It's where the blue dot in this pic is marked on the older metal plates, or above it on the sticky labels as shown on this pic. Not the red circled letter (that's the shaft length)

With that you'll get it aged dead on very easily by me or anybody else on here.

am i right in saying the 3cyl 60hp two stroke yamaha engine was made only between 91-96?

They stopped using model years about 2006. Before that the letter code IDs the year.

=1989 model

rite the letter in the bottom right is F hope that does it, cheers
