Well please get in touch if you have a 50hp for sale! Been looking since September now. Nightmare.

And no, the sr4s are only rated to 50hp, I will have to speak to the insurance companies and sea if there is a way of getting around it.

It's definitely not the one off ebay. The one I am looking at is in Swansea.

If you were to sell your 50 how much would you be after?

Cheers

They don't get much above 1200 immaculate, low hours with control box and prop. PM me if you want and let me work out if it would be possible for me to look at it for you. It is a very rare find at that price if it checks out.
Ok well I will wait for pics then pm them to you, where are you based?

It does not come with trim & tilt, which may put you off, but that is not a bad thing on small rib. It's about time I got round to completing it. I would take a 55 with power tilt for it but since that's not realistic just yet it would be around 1200, given the work that would have gone into it.

Really I need ptt because I do all my ribbing off a shallow beach so the ptt is needed for coming in the shallows and loading on and off the trailer. Let me know if you get anything in that has ptt. Thanks for the offer though.

The 50 is not trim and tilt, which is not really a problem on a 4m rib, but it comes down to choice.

As you are aware I am about to put a lot of work into it. I hate to break an engine in good condition but has been neglected.

Honestly, I would take an immaculate trim & tilt 55 yam as I prefer the 55, but given that's not practical until my ones up and running it would have to be 1200. With control & prop.

The pictures are before I take it apart. It does not need to come apart as it's a bottom seal issue, but I wouldn't put it out without being certain it's right.

I launch off the beach and launch and recover at the max pin position with no problems. Also it took so long to post the first time I cancelled and reposted.

There was a 50 yam t&t on eBay with a blown powerhead. It wouldn't be impossible to change the t&t over?? I was toying with the idea myself.

Im sure it's possible it's just trying to find a donor engine, will have a little scout.

Before it all gets complicated and expensive, I'll keep looking out for a complete 50 as well. You have to make sure a donor engine will come apart and it's not always easy to tell.
