4 stroke aux required

afternoon all.
i find my self in the market for second hand 7 or 8hp aux long shaft, peferably a 4 stroke model,
do not really wish to purchase new as it will be sat on a mooring all its life and with luck will not be stolen from back of my boat,,

go two stroke as will be lighter and cheaper i suspect and more punch when you do actually need it unless you are looking to feed it from your main tank

I'm in the market for a very similar motor and I'm facing the same question. It would have to be driven from the same tank in my case. Can you get 2 stroke outboards that inject their own oil?

Yes, I haven't seen one smaller than 15hp though, but they might exist.
