No I meant even seeing them in the distance...thinking of our little trip from Alderney aboard the Lyas' craft ...everything looked toy size & there was a great loneliness about the sea...

Zeb's better for hopping around the coast ....

Have a look at this for an x-channel trip... Cherbourg / St. Vaast last weekend And I think that Mark Wildey has posted some piccies of an even smoother crossing.

I did think to myself 'out there' well this is where the old ferryboat comes in handy...cabin, caff, cabin, shop, cabin.....did I mention cabin...TOILETS!!!

Good for you JW. I'm quite frightened of the sea deep down...maybe it's deep rooted...the wild Atlantic around Irish coasts wasn't always friendly...
