225 Optimax fouling plugs
Got a pair of new 225 optimax with less than 50 hours on the clock, one of the engines developed a misfire which turned out to be one, maybe 2 of the spark plugs with heavy carbon build up leading to the problem, new plugs solved this, has anyone had this problem, the other engine seems ok, I'm hoping this is because of the higher oil usage during run in but thought is was worth asking the question. I've noticed some pinking from this engine, this is worse under under acceleration. I'm using mercury DFI oil but as we are out in Grenada I'm not sure what the octane rating of the fuel here is. Any thoughts, ... ??
