It would depend on what specific horsepower you are looking at also, ie if it was say 90hp then the weight may not be so much of an issue as you have the 90hp Optimax weighing 170kgs and the all new Suzuki 90hp 4 stroke is Only 155kgs which fairly surprised me. I beleive the etec is slightly lighter than the suzuki aswell. I've had both types of engines in the past, twin Honda 4 strokes followed by two different DI 2 strokes. Currently a DI 2 stroke and love the power, but the silent & smooth idle of a 4 stroke is also Very nice. Evinrude Etec is a very good comprmise tho, Powerfull and pretty quite.

If it was 90hp Id probably go Suzuki, if it was 115-130 then probably an Etec! 150hp, Etec or Optimax

But its not my money... Good Luck with whatever you choose
