1996 Honda 75

Hi I took my Avon Sea Rider out yesterday Portland to Weymouth the boat started and ran she didn't miss a beat. I got to Weymouth tide up on the pontoon went to re start my engine and nothing trim tilt worked in the control box but no power light on the control unit I've checked fuses checked wires swopped the deadmans switch. Checked the stop switches on the gear selecter. I'm at a real lose what am I missing?

Start in gear protection? Check the propeller freely moves. Could be the gear shift linkage needs adjusted.

Failing that, do a continuity test on electrics from battery to starter motor. Not unusual for wiring to corrode. You can splice in new tinned wiring if need be, rather than replace the entire loom. Hope you get it fixed.

I've had similar prob in the past have a look at the gear linkage under the cowl and make sure the Safty switch is getting pushed in when in neutral
You may be able to adjust the cable to suit

Have you checked the Main Fuse on the engine itself? Often a large blade type fuse under a waterproof cover affair.

There's another fuse in the loom at the back of the dials as well
