Over the same distance my 200 opti used 51 Li and a 250 etec used 90 ish or so we think

No chance, coz I'd not have made it back to Fal at that rate. I was robbed by that pump attendent at Mylor.

You should of gone for the 200 as the man said the 150 has to be revved and drinks it and the 250 just drinks it whatever

Yeah, I've heard that the 150 is particularly thirsty and that a 200 HowlinMax enjoys the odd starter motor.

For those that don't know I went for the Suzuki 200. On a good run I can just touch 47 knots and am using an average of 1.1 liter per mile. There's about 500rpm spare so I might try a smaller prop or raise the engine a tad.

vipermax 6,5m with 250HP

Anyone knows what kind of speed you would get from a vipermax 6.5 with a 250 HP engine (2 stroke) on the back?

thx

Petrov should know, but the 6.5 Vipermax is rated to only 200hp. Most hit around 50kt with a 200, set-up for leisure use, so I reckon a 250 set-up similarly should get around 55kt. Would depend on set-up, loading, etc and whether you wanted all round ability or out and out speed.
