150 Optimax Prop

I'd be interested to hear what pitch propeller people are using on the 150 Optimax fitted to RIBs around 5.5 - 6.0 m.
I've seen a few threads on here which suggest the 19" LaserII and others in favour of the 21" version.
If anyone has experience of both, it would be great to hear how they compare.
Also, if any other varieties are used, eg Vengeance, Solas, etc., what sort of performance do you get from these as a comparison with the Laser II?

I found a 23p 5 blade so much better than the 3 blade, in my particular case

I ran a 19" laser II on a Viper 5.75 with a 150 opti, very good match!
But I think it was the Vengeance that Julie at steel developments advised as it would give more lift to the stern, if I remember right!

I did 100's of hours on 6,5 Scorpion with a 150 happymnax usually with 6 up and the 19 laser 11 worked just great! I ran the 21 for a while but didn't notice enough fuel saving to say goodbye to the 19's holeshot.

Your boat will be stunning with a 19 which I think comes as standard

Laser 2 is an outdrive prop. The Vengeance is a large capacity O/B prop. Dai has no mates so he could probably get away with a 23P Vengeance which could get him near the 50knt mark.

I may have no mates, but I'm the weight of 3 blokes, so I'll go for either the 19" or 21".

Mollers: what pitch was that old Vengeance prop lying around in your shed? How did that one perform on your boat?

It's a 19". need to re-hub it though. I stripped the hub on the Laser 2 and swapped them. You're welcome to try it and the 21" Laser2. The Vengeance is gonna go back on for the Channel Isles trip.
