15 hp on a 10hp boat

i have a 3m 10hp rated boat but due to us being fatties have found a lack in power , i have an old merc 9.8 at the moment but would love to try a 15 what are your thoughts ?

Chuck a 15 on matey,, i had a 40 on a 4m honwave rated for 30..went a treat

I had a 30 on a boat rated at 25 and had no issues. But that said engine weight wasn't over transom plated weight. Let your insurance know though. Mine didn't wory or increase price.

we had a 30 on a 3m rib, lets just say it wasnt slow
if your transom is strong enough, i'd go for a 20.
