115 Optimax prop help

Hello, with the great weather we currently have I thought I would do a bit of propeller testing to see if any improvement over the stock prop on my optimax.

Seems the quicksilver laser II won’t fit one correctly, it has a diameter of 112mm compared to the standard prop 102mm and hits the trim anode if I try to turn it :-)

Am I missing something of is this prop just no use for my optimax ( I achieve full rpm with stock prop and around 40-42knts trimmed out on 6m XS)

A couple of pictures with prop numbers for anybody in the know.

Any advise greatly appreciated.
Cheers.

I've had this a couple of times on previous rigs.

Angle grinder and loped a bit off the trim tab...

Thanks last tango, I have an older trim anode so may play with that one first :-)
Would the fact the ss prop doesn’t fit in side the lower gear casing like the standard prop concern you?

Cheers

The Laser II doesn't have an old thrust washer stuck on the back of it already so you're ending up with two thrust washers on there?

Looking closer at this....the prop hub isn't actually rubbing against the gear casing is it ?

For sure no extra thrust washer stuck on there, I actually think now that this is for a mercury above 135hp or bravo leg - due to the diameter :-(

Can’t help with the prop but your rig fairly shifts! Our 6m xs is only doing the same speed with the 150 optimax.
