you never let me say goodbye

i've been banned for daring to post the 'ribbers wives'thread(world safe again!). not a single swear word, rascist comment, lewd remark or insult on the post-hell,it even got some good humoured replies. thats what is was-humour(the nerve!).forums need moderators,no question.but then again if only one person is that moderator it all goes wrong-remember adolf?if you hit upon a pompous selfrighteous narrow minded type it goes stale.anyone that stirs the forum is removed leaving it boring and turgid -just how many times can you post pictures of the solent and still be entertained, how many 'those irresponsible oiks on jetskis...etc' stories can you read without yawning or how about 'look at my boat-its the same as everyone elses only different'posts? so what i am saying is,moderator put yourself up for election-its for the benefit of the many not the pious few(i.e.the administrators).or is there a bit of arrogance in there too?

p.s. any chance of a 'i love rib net' sticker?

You haven't been banned, but as you appear to be a troll I temporarily prevented you from posting. Registering with a deliberately provocative user name like knifenutta, then starting pointless threads, isn't generally the best was to make friends on a forum.

You could have emailed me if you wanted to sort things out, but you chose to re-register under a new username and start whining. Again, not the most clueful approach.

With the help of three moderators and the members in general I try to keep a reasonable balance here, but don't ever confuse RIBnet with a democracy. If you don't like RIBnet, that's OK - lots of people get on fine here, but it's never going to suit everyone.

You obviously believe that you are hilarious, and maybe there are other places that would appreciate your special brand of humour better. The internet is a big place after all.

JK If he is clueless enough to combine such an evocative username with the slightly dubious thread on his second post, what does he expect. If he had a normal username and significant posts, it would be clear the thread may have been in humour.

If he doesnt like the ribnet content.....

Yes of course Louise, I think I'd heard that before, that or she's just the natural choice...

It all kinda makes sense though:

JK's is so small that he can fold it away when he's done with it.
Polwart has a little hard one that he's oddly fond of but few have seen.
Nos' is a bit bigger (well worn now) and he often shows it off at Meets.
Louise has a great big one that is rarely mentioned or seen.

It seems that Moderating activity is inversely proportional to the size of your boat.

Yep, you'll probably regret those last few comments. I would say it was nice knowing you but I suspect Pol hasn't been on and seen mine since last night..................

Calm now lads .. Mr K has professed to not being too snippy .. and I have to agree with him.....particularly after the odd comment that Ive seen .. but ofcourse Mr P will have already been in with the chainsaw .. Mr N seems to have a balance of .. fook it .. is it really that important, and I think me steaks burning .. with which I also concur and as for Mrs L .. it must take a lot to get her moving .. but like a lot of ladies whom we appreciate .. when they do move.. I probably woudlnt like to be in the way when she does go off .. so .. best leave well enough alone lads eh ?

Anyway, quickly changing the subject.........
What has happened to your boat or did it shrink in the wash?
