What is going on with this site

I posted this earlier today.

http://www.rib.net/forum/f31/post-re...ing-43803.html

However I cannot see this thread appearing in the "Site Help & Announcements" I thought I was going mad then I looked under my Stats and at all my posts and could see this one sat there.

What is going on with this forum.

No I don't think Chris' problem is related to bilge "cleaning" - as there's only been 1 thread bilged today.

Chris. This is particularly odd. I can't replicate the problem here under Firefox, Chrome, the Android browser, or the RIBnet android app. So far you are the only person to report this problem (although others may be having it and not aware, or not able to post!). I've highlighted your other thread to the Admins to see if they can offer a solution but I'd assume the techies don't work weekends and are in the states so it will be Tuesday at the earliest before you might get a fix.

In the meantime there are a couple of things you can do which might help eliminate possible causes (or at least save the techies wasting time asking you to do this). (1) if you have access to a different PC and/or browser can you try that and confirm if the problem is everywhere. (2) can you try clearing your cookies to see if it goes away... http://www.rib.net/expire_cookies.php

Polwart last posted in this thread on 3 September. Where do you see something saying he has posted more recently?

Chris, are you using 10 or 20 posts per page? If 10, swap to 20. I seem to remember that sorted it for me.....

My trouble occurred on the last post of a page.

I resolved this problem.

Went to Internet Options then next to the "Browsing History" section I clicked "Settings" and for some reason my "check for newer versions of wepages" was set to NEVER changed it to allways and job done !.

The default setting is "Automatically". I've never seen a reason to change this, and on commercial systems I have seen major problems caused by setting "always". You will use more network bandwidth set to "always" so your connection may seem a bit slower - depends what you've got, if you've got 10mbit or more you might never notice!
