The small print

As RIBnet grows it is becoming more important that everyone has a clear understanding of how the forums are run.

We now have posting guidelines which have been drawn up for the protection of the forums as a whole, and it follows that there should be a system for dealing with any problems that arise.

To date, the most common complaint has been inappropriate commercial posts. I hope that having specific Guidelines for commercial posting will help avoid this in future.

If I believe that a member is substantially or repeatedly going against the guidelines their posting rights will be suspended indefinitely. If reinstated, any member previously suspended will be expected to comply strictly with the posting guidelines on their return.

In extreme cases I reserve the right to permanently exclude a member from the forums without notice. If a member appears to be posting using more than one user name, then any associated accounts will also be suspended.

All rules apply equally to regular members and members with paid subscriptions and there will be no refunds for suspended acounts.

These rules will be enforced only where I feel that the overall wellbeing of the forums is being affected, and need never concern the vast majority of members. On the whole I have much better things to do!
