I don't.

I almost gave up posting this it was taking so long to view the thread. Then I opened another tab and tried again and it came up straight away. The first tab is still trying to load as I type this

if you find this and dont post immediately here on this thread .. record the times its at its worst and make a post here with the data

There are automated processes that run on the server, and it might help John identify if these are causing conflict, or at least eliminate them

OK, I'm narrowing it down. It's definitely a database issue, with some queries taking up to 30 seconds which is ludicrous. It's nothing to do with which domain name is used to access the site.

I'll keep you posted.

It looks like the problem was related to the memberlist function. Since I turned it off things seem to have been back to normal.
