Private messages

Hi, I have just replied to a private message, but looking at my pm's, I can't find any record of my reply.
So how do I know if it's been sent or received.
This is the second time I have found myself in this situation.

When you open private message the box at the top has a drop down for inbox and also sent. You need to open the sent dropdown

You need to have this option enabled in options first though

"Save a copy of sent messages in my sent items folder by default"
