Participated thread v subscribed thread

On the RIBnet iPhone App what's the difference between 'Subscribed' and 'Participated' threads?

I don't have an iPhone so I am only speculating here that it follows the "normal" behaviour:

Participated thread = a thread you have posted in.

Subscribed thread = a thread you have actively told RIBnet you wish to subscribe to (you don't need to have posted in it) - depending on your userCP settings Ribnet will then automagically email you whenever there is new content in this thread.

You can choose in the userCP that any thread you participate in you also automatically subscribe to - but you can also turn that off.

Polwart...thanks for that. I need to think now (ouch). This thread appears on my iPhone in subscribed but not in participated. Hmm...AFAIK I've never asked/told RIBnet to 'subscribe' to anything and certainly never had emails.

I checked your account settings and indeed, you were subscribed to any thread you posted to. I changed that setting for you but if you like, you can mange these settings for yourself in your user CP http://www.rib.net/forum/profile.php?do=editoptions
Be sure to scroll down and click save when you've finished
