New rib??

Iím looking to sell me Avon 6.2m and replace with something within £26k.
I really like the look of the ribeye 785 or cobra 8m.

Thing I really like about the Avon is itís a really good stable family boat and I donít want to spend money on something what wonít match up.

Whatís everyoneís thoughts on these or can anyone recommend something similar?

Why are you looking to upgrade?
Both those boats will easily match up to the Avon. In fact I think you will be pleasantly surprised. I canít think of any mainstream ~8m rib generally popular in the UK that is not going to be a better ride and comfort than your current boat.

I have had several Avon's and several Cobra's there is absolutely no comparison between then. The Cobras are more stable at rest, better sea keeping and generally much better , as any 8 mt RIB would be. Extra length = better ride, said the actress to the Bishop

Iíd agree, a 8m rib is a lovely size, had many enjoyable seasons on a Stingher 800 gt. Not sure your budget will give you a lot to choose from, but saying that this is https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Revenger-...cAAOSw7mNcfmrY local to me and quite a nice outfit. Good luck with your hunt

Thanks everyone, the answer are what I thought people would say. I do like my Avon but if itís choppy then it does hit the waves hard.

We mainly use it for wake boarding kneeboarding and inflatables, I have a 150hp 2 stroke what isnít the cheapest but isnít to bad on fuel.
I noticed most 8m have 250hp 4 strokes on, obviously they will be heavier on fuel but is it drastically more?
