Mods ...what's the point?

Ah the old "you removed it and then put it back" claim.... [emoji849] I've just recently left Facebook because.... well... it's shite! but before I did I retired from 8 years moderating a professional session musicians page that we started and it grew into a monster. 7750 members up to my departure. Some of the claims lads make against unpaid volunteer mods are off the charts really.... I'd never do it again - pure head melting stuff that takes up waaaaaay too much time.

Generally, on most fora, the most regular posters become the most important and most vocal personalities pretty naturally, (some) lurkers can then become cynical and a bit chippy because of this - usually late at night after a few pints of BabyCham. [emoji849] It's life....

I'm fairly new and do more reading than commenting but I see a pretty fair job done here in fairness I think. [emoji1417] I know the struggles. Thanks for your time doing it lads.

I think all our moderators are handsome, intelligent, well read, perceptive, worthy of enormous praise and are all, all experienced and professional in boating matters of the highest order.

PS Please excuse shaky handwriting, only they don't allow us anything sharp in here.

You'd have got a thousand "likes" for that on FB. Personally I think you've missed your medication again[emoji1]
