Google Maps in posts?

I was wondering whether it would be possible to add an option to embed a specific lat lon or location with a map shown in a post.

Would be handy for anyone trying to describe or give a point, such as a pub/mooring point etc.

I was thinking something like this:

http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showt...t=google+earth

or this:

Both look pretty easy to implement.

Great, would be good if you could add something.

It's actually a pain having HTML disabled in posts, so the need to add functionality would be appreciated.

There are loads of posts where members are talking about specific locations. The first thing I always do is then start up Google Earth to take a look, so would really help to have it integrated onto the board.

Or how about just enabling the attachment of Google Earth Placemarks in the form of KMZ files.

These are only tiny files, so won't take hardly any space on the server.
Just add it as an attachment file type in the VBulletin options.
