Its a bit of a poor show charging for avatars on a free forum.

you have to remember that without users/members there is no forum.

Like you say its a free forum, if you don't want to pay you don't have to.
I never became a RIBnet supporter for a while. I got alot of very good advice and have had quite a few bargains off members.
I have used other forums for all sorts of things (not them things JSP) and this one is the best overall which is why I don't mind making a contribution to the upkeep of it.

I don't charge for avatars. I give them as a freebie to people who choose to support the site.
