Android App - Turn off Notifications

I did a search and couldn't find anything.

I'm ok with notifications showing up on the notification bar but I'd like to not hear it buzz when they come in. Other apps allow you to within the app (a) totally turn off notifications or (b) allow you to just turn off the buzz/bing.

Right now (as far as I can tell), my options are (a) to turn off synching for all apps - this would include my email (b) silence the phone - this would include the ringer to my phone or (c) uninstall the app completely.

Any suggestions?

which version of the app do you have and which version of Android?

The following would work for Android 4.1.2 and Ribnet 1.3.18

Open the App.
Click the menu button (three vertical dots on my phone - but the icon is phone specific I think)
Click settings
Scroll down to Push Notifications
Untick.

I had the correct version:




But this was the only thing that came up when I hit the three dots:


Deleted and reinstalled and now I have more options (I took the screenshot prior to uninstalling as I wanted you to see what I was looking at).

Edit: unchecked and still receiving notifications!

ncp - I've not thoroughly tested but you need to force close the app and restart to apply the settings. Theres a couple of ways to force close but just hitting home or back won't quit - it will leave the app quietly running in the background.

The easiest way is to touch the two rectangles icon [[__]] and then slide the ribnet option sideways to bin it.

Ok, went into settings/apps/rib.net and forced close. Let's see if that works.
