We towed this little lot to italy and back



Yet when checked with insurance etc it was all fine.
That said.... the law is v. confusing at the best of times!

Just had an update from the Dept of Transport who referred me back to the dimensions I have already quoted. I.e.: The 7m rule does apply.

Two pertinent points were mentioned:

1. The Department cannot interpret the law - that is a matter for the courts.

2. There is no overhang allowed at the back of the trailer.

I Have emailed them back for an opinion on where the drawbar starts, & will post their reply when received.

What about the xemptions for an indivisible load? I would love to hear a court tell you a boat can be cut in half!!!
