Training resource request - Mayday recording

Hi,

Does anyone have a good audio recording of a simulated mayday call to use for training purposes ? The only thing I can find on YouTube is either adverts from people selling radios or real ones which don't include everything (most don't seem to be in English); and seems a bit ghoulish to use a real one.

Its not for profit its just for some kids on a Titanic themed weekend to show them how things have moved on.

If anyone has a good clip they could e-mail or send me a link that would be great.

Thanks,
Sharon

me ! never ! the video shows why one must be good on radio - English is the language of VHF radio and proper VHF protocol helps non native speakers to understand your request....

We did actually use the German one - the thought being that it makes a useful point that if they'd sent a Mayday in the standard format (e.g. saying it 3 times) it would have been clear that there was a problem. By only saying it once and not going through a recognised sequence he caused confusion.....

I might make one up for the future, I was surprised there wasn't more on YouTube though.
