The last issue of RIB Int had something about an advanced training course in Scotland. Can't remember any more details than that but it did sound interesting.

10M+ rib TRAINING

Ryan

We can organise something for you, is 10.5m big enough? Are you after the ICC over 10m or thinking of something a bit more bespoke.

If you want to discuss i'm on 02380 231122 and coaching@stormforce.biz

Send a message via MSN to Jon Brooks
Might be worth a chat with John Price at Quinquarry.

I am sure he offers something along these lines.

Hope that helps

the solent is no good for big rib training it's not nasty enough

theres a training school called 58 degrees north which is in Banff in Scotland they train on a 10 metre Humber and you can guarantee a rough sea cos they are out in Mcduff. Also the principle is a highly experienced commercial skipper whom I respect and that don't happen often. he is also an Opito and an STCW trainer so I'd give hime a call if I was you.

You also need to be trained in a big Rib by someone who drives the Fkkrs all the time it's no good being trained by someone who's borrowed a mates if you know what I mean

Hey all

Thanks for the reply’s I’m not actually looking for training myself I was just wondering how many training schools offer training on such craft. I own a 10.5 m Ribcraft that I operate from Cardiff and I was thinking of running some courses in the winter …
