Sorry if this has been done to death, fuel duty.

I've just started as a dive charter rhib operator. My rhib has 2 100hp Yamaha petrol engines and uses a lot of fuel. I've been told I can claim fuel duty back but no-one locally can tell me how or where from.

Any help please?

You need an HO50 form from the HMCR website that you will need to fill in, be prepared for them to ask you for a copy of your MCA Licence (boat) and also a copy of your trading accounts to prove that you are a commercial operator and not just someone who wishes to claim back the duty.
They are really starting to get clued up on this- maybe with the deregulation of Red soon .

Fuel Duty

See this thread:-
http://rib.net/forum/showthread.php?t=22665

Keep records of all fuel used and the purpose and then submit forms as shown on attached.

Thanks both of you for that. I have a license, trading accounts will be awkward as it's my first year. They'll have to contact my accountant or look at my website I suppose.
